Bluefin Insurance Services Limited is part of the Bluefin Group, which is a wholly owned subsidiary of AXA UK Plc. 50plus Insurance Services prides itself on providing clients with the highest level of service in all areas of the business.  We accept responsibility for the advice that we give you and comply with all current regulatory obligations as well as satisfying the requirements of the FSA in respect of Professional Indemnity Insurance.

In arranging insurance for you, we act as an independent intermediary (broker) on your behalf.  We select Household Insurance products from "Certain underwriters at Lloyd's and Great Lakes Reinsurance (UK) PLC" due to their competitive premiums and good claims and underwriting service.  In the event that we cannot place your cover with this underwriter, we may use a panel of reputable insurers to try to meet your needs.

Our Car Insurance is provided by Zurich Insurance and we reserve the right to vary the provider according to need.

Our Travel Insurance is provided by Tokio Marine Europe Insurance Ltd.

We receive our income from the insurer who pays us commission on the policy premium.  We will charge you an administration fee of £4 on your policy renewal to cover some of our costs.  There is no charge for contacting us for a quotation.

Our offices are based in West Wickham in Kent and are open between 9am and 5pm every weekday except bank holidays.  The customer services adviser you speak to will give you his or her name and you can ask for them by name for any subsequent enquiries.

If you cannot settle your complaint with us, you may be entitled to refer it to the Financial Ombudsman Service.

50plus Insurance Services is covered by the Financial Services Compensation Scheme (FSCS) so if we cannot meet our obligations, you may be entitled to compensation from the scheme.  This depends on the type of business and the circumstances of the claim.   Insurance advising and arranging is covered for 100% of the first £2,000 and 90% of the remainder of the claim, without any upper limit.  Further information about compensation scheme arrangements is available from the FSCS.
